Sports Day 2017
Health Week 2017
The whole school had a very successful Health Week last week! Here is a list of the activities the children took part in and a slide show of some photographs. Keep checking the blog as more photographs may be added.
The children enjoyed:-
A visit from the NSPCC, a cheer-leading session, Shoesday Tuesday’s shoe cape competition(Thank you for your donations!), a Future X session, classroom discussions on substance misuse, a 5 steps to a healthy mind assembly, First Aid activities through the Heartstart programme, a teeth disclosure tablet experiment, a Spring Nature walk with the Carters, food tasting and cooking opportunities, classroom activities on where food comes from and why it is good for us, an orienteering session, a badminton session, a celebrating success assembly and a great finale with our Sports Day! Thank you to all who came and supported the children.
World Book Day in Chapelgreen
We had a fun day on Thursday 2nd March 2017 for World Book Day. Well done to those who dressed up for the day. Have a look at some of the outfits below.
Where’s Wally?
Congratulations to all those who found Wally on the day. Tyler, Ellie, Amy and Logan all won a prize in the Wally raffle.
Photograph Competition
Thank you to all who sent a photograph in for the reading photograph competition. Congratulations to Ava who won the competition and to Ryan and Mia who were runners up.
Wacky Glasses Design
Each child had to design a pair of reading glasses. Congratulations to Eva who was the overall winner. The runners up were Rhys, Connor and Rory.
The Winning House Is……
BEECH!
Congratulations to the pupils of Beech House for earning the most points last term. They chose to watch a movie and thanks to the Captain James Colangelo and Vice Captain Declan Haggerty, a poster was created for members of Beech House to sign up for their favourite movie! How To Train Your Dragon 2 was the most popular.
The pupils of Chapelgreen know how to make themselves comfy and brought in their pyjamas to relax on the crash mat, followed by some popcorn and drinks. A great time was had by all.
