Room 2 enjoyed an afternoon of outdoor gym. The children ran their daily mile in the sun then practised their gymnastics skills of balancing, sliding, rolling and jumping on the outdoor obstacle course.

Nature Walk
Miss Coyle took us on a nature walk last week. We saw lots of trees and some moss and we heard the birds tweeting. We wrote letters to Mrs Crockett to tell her what we saw and heard on our walk. Well done to Tyler, Ainsley, Ellie and Eva who were our star writers.
Outdoor Clocks
We had fun drawing clocks in the playground today.
We had to put the numbers and the hands in the correct place on our analogue clocks then write the time in digital.
It was a little tricky!
Hand Washing in Room 2
We have been learning all about germs and can tell about what germs do to our bodies and how we can stop germs spreading. We know that washing our hands can help stop the spreading of germs. We learned all the steps to wash your hands thoroughly.
Health Week
Fairyland
We have been creating Fairyland in our classroom. So far, we have written letters to the Friendly Dragon, we have built a beanstalk and made castles. We love it when the Dragon writes a letter and leaves it in the D-Mail box. He leaves us instructions of what to do next. We are having great fun!
Purposeful Play – Lego Cribs!
Room 2 were given the challenge of constructing a modern crib for Baby Jesus. It was to have a base for Baby Jesus to sleep on, sides to stop Baby Jesus falling out and legs to keep the crib off the ground. Look at our photos to find out who was successful with the challenge.
Fruit Kebabs
In Room 2, we were learning some cutting techniques so that we can cut food safely. Today we learned about ‘the bridge’ and ‘the claw’. We were cutting up fruit to make a healthy snack. Fruit and Vegetables is one of the food groups we have been learning about and we know that we should be eating more of this food group than others. Most of us enjoyed all the different fruits.
Reindeer Dust
In Room 2, we have been busy making reindeer dust to sell at the Banton Primary School Christmas Fayre. First, we had to mix the oats, sugar and glitter together before filling the special bags. Then, we had to design the sticker that would seal the bag up. Next, we created posters to advertise the reindeer dust. Finally, we had to decide on a price. We decided 50p was reasonable. We hope everyone buys a wee bag!
