Primary six and seven enjoyed an afternoon of studying a variety of different fossils, some of which had been found in the local area. They used magnifying glasses to inspect the fossils and they drew pictures and took notes on what they could see. Thank you Mr Carter for sharing your knowledge and letting us look at your fossils.
You look very engrossed in your exploration of the fossils. What kind of fossils did you look at?
We looked at lots of different kinds of fossils. Some of the ones we remember are oysters, a tree trunk, bits of coral reef, a shark tooth, worm tunnels, leaves, fish scales and shells.
