Award Ceremony, 22 June 2016

We celebrated the success of our pupils on Wednesday,  22 June 2016, recognising their excellent academic progress and wider achievements. As well as all the well-deserved awards given to our pupils, the Provost Award was given to the whole community of Shotts for their support over the last few weeks.

Our guest speaker was Mr Alex Napier, and we enjoyed entertainment from many of our talented pupils.

Here’s just a few of the activities and achievements of our pupils this year:

Calderhead Sports Day

Our first ever inter-house Sports Day took place on Thursday, 23rd June. There were some  exciting close run finals and in both the male and female 4 x 100m relay races the Calderhead pupils beat the staff teams by a distance!

Well done to everyone who took part, especially Lochhead House, who had the most winners!

GOSH Fundraising Day

Calderhead High School recently raised over £2400 for Great Ormond Street Hospital with a number of fun events including a staff and student talent show, a cake and candy stall and a raffle.

Well done to everyone who participated and a special thanks to Ewan in S6 and all the other S6 pupils who ran all the events!
