The children decided that they would like to design their own Rangoli Pattern. They wanted to it with flowers for our garden. We all thought hard about the design, even asking our parents for homework and eventually decided upon a flower design made with flowers.
Homework Week beginning 2.6.’14
Golden Time
The first sunny day for golden time. Who knew a grassy hill could be so much fun.
Shiny like a new penny
The boys and girls of Primary Three feel shiny just like a new penny after receiving the Sacrament of Reconciliation on Tuesday 1st April 2014. I wonder how long it will last. Mrs. Powell gave all the children a new shiny penny to remind them how they felt when they received the Sacrament.
Computer Research
The boys and girls love using the computers to research about their topic and are learning how to use a search engine and take notes about what they find.
St. Serf’s Commonwealth Run
The whole school took to Rawyards park this morning to take part in our sponsored run. All of Primary 3/4 managed at least five times round the track, that’s two kilometers, and some did not stop until it was time to come back to school. Well done Primary 3/4.
Hamish
Hamish enjoyed his visit to the wrestling with Callum.
Hamish
Hamish paid a visit to Spain during the long weekend. He even had time to visit some banks to find out about money in Spain because the boys and girls are learning about money in school.
Art- Oil Rigs
While learning about Scotland’s cities we researched all about Aberdeen. We found out that Aberdeen is all about oil. We made our own impression of an oilrig using art straws then used them to do some printing.
Tesco Visit
We all went to Tesco to find out about where our food comes from. The boys and girls had a great time and would like to thank all the staff who made their visit so interesting and educational. We looked at all the produce, the fish, deli and bakery counters, and we even got to see behind the scenes.
