As part of our Topic about India and the Commonwealth Games we learned all about Indian Mendhi tottoos. The children found out about how, why and when thay are used and were keen to try them out themselves.

The girls really enjoyed trying on the saris, we found out that Indian
girls wear them during our topic work. I think they looked beautiful.
The children decided that they would like to design their own Rangoli Pattern. They wanted to it with flowers for our garden. We all thought hard about the design, even asking our parents for homework and eventually decided upon a flower design made with flowers.

The boys and girls of Primary Three feel shiny just like a new penny after receiving the Sacrament of Reconciliation on Tuesday 1st April 2014. I wonder how long it will last. Mrs. Powell gave all the children a new shiny penny to remind them how they felt when they received the Sacrament.
The boys and girls love using the computers to research about their topic and are learning how to use a search engine and take notes about what they find.
