Hamish enjoyed his visit with Caitlyn. Some friends came to visit and he even got to go to Caitlyn’s birthday party. I don’t think he got her a present though.

Class Assembly 28th February 2014
On Friday the boys and girls took part in a class learning assembly. We told the whole school about our work learning about Scotland’s cities. Everyone learned lots and the boys and girls had great fun showing off.
Did you know Scotland only has seven cities.
Did you know that Glasgow is the biggest city in Scotland or that Inverness is Scotland’s newest city.
Rights Respecting
As part of a whole school project we have been learning about the Rights of the child. We have introduced the children to their rights by helping them to consider the difference between a WANT and a NEED. The basic needs that should be met so children and young people grow up to reach their full potential.
We have learned that along with rights come responsibilities. In Primary 3/4 we have been spending time learning about Article 15 – You have the right to choose your own friends and join or set up groups, as long as it isn’t harmful to others.
We also discussed the right to play. We talked about the types of toys we had to play with and the toys children from other countries had. We then made our own moving butterfly.
Community Police
The community police paid us a visit to talk to us about Stranger Danger. PC Daryl Roberson and PC Johnny Wong spoke to us and played games with us. They explained to us that our fingerprints are unique. No one has the same fingerprint. They took our fingerprints and let us take them home to show our mums and dads.
Co-operative Learning
Welcome to P3/4’s blog. Since coming back to school in August we have been working together to form Co-operative Learning groups. We used information about things we had in common to name our groups.
Welcome to the Super Smurfs, the Powerful Pizzas, the Green Gang and the Green Guzzlers.
