Summer Trip
On the 25th June the whole school had a great day trip to Blairdrummond Safari Park.
The children all had a great time as did the parent helpers and myself. We have lots of photographs to show you what a great time we had.
Indian Food Tasting
The children were all excited to taste the food we had been learning about so we had an Indian banquet.
We recorded what we thought about the different foods as we tasted them.
Commonwealth Baton Relay
The whole school went up to Black Street to cheer on the Queen’s Commonwealth Baton. We all had flags to wave. We waved flags for India as well as ourselves.
Gold Day
Congratulations to all our Gold, Silver and Bronze achievers. A great day.
Mendhi Designs
As part of our Topic about India and the Commonwealth Games we learned all about Indian Mendhi tottoos. The children found out about how, why and when thay are used and were keen to try them out themselves.
Rebecca from the @Home Centre very kindly came along to give us all a tattoo.
Homework Week Beginning 9.6.2014
Sports Day
The weather was especially ordered just for the day. Everyone took part and had a great time. All the children and some parents were fully focused on winning points for their house.
Dressing Up
The girls really enjoyed trying on the saris, we found out that Indian
girls wear them during our topic work. I think they looked beautiful.
Gardening
The children decided that they would like to design their own Rangoli Pattern. They wanted to it with flowers for our garden. We all thought hard about the design, even asking our parents for homework and eventually decided upon a flower design made with flowers.
