It was lovely to see all the children dress down today in support of Children in Need. We raised a fantastic £277.70!!!! Thank you for all the donations.
Pupils in the ‘Eco and Outdoor Learning’ Leadership Academy have been working hard to design an Eco Character. Each member had to vote for their favourite (other than their own!) and three finalists were chosen. Well Done Aiden, Morgan and Iona. P7 have been drawing self-portraits using oil or chalk pastels. Their task was to use pencil to draw the outline based on a digital photograph of themselves. They added detail using the pastels and had to choose colours that reflected their emotions. Pupils also had to be able to explain their choice of colours. In Primary 3, we have started our new maths topic ‘money’ with Mrs Devine. We are learning how to use the 50p coin. We can count the total of coins up to £1 and we can lay out different coin combinations up to £1. Some of us are practising how to count up in 10s and 20s to make this easier for us. This week, our French Champions made labels for around our school to show what the different rooms in the school are called in French. We will help others in the school learn the new vocabulary by pointing out the signs and telling our friends how to pronounce the French words. A big thank you to Millie and Kayleigh for teaching us all a clapping rhyme to count to 20. We
P1 to P3 enjoyed a visit from the SSPCA on Friday. They learned about how litter can be dangerous for animals and that it is important to research a pet’s needs before getting one.
