Summer Awards Ceremony

Today, we held our Summer Awards Ceremony. Two children from every class were chosen for a Sarah Warnock Award for endeavour throughout the year. Our Primary 7s entertained us with their ‘mash up’ song and were presented with an Uddingston Grammar tie from the Parent Council. It was an emotional day! Congratulations to all of our award winners.

Primary 4-7 Digital Learning

The children in P4-7 recently had the opportunity to work in pairs or trios to create an Power Point advertisement for our school.  Their criteria was that it should include text, photos and transitions in order to promote our school in the community. The Primary 4 class was invaded this week by an amazing array of puppets, which the children made as part of a homework task.  There were examples of string, shadow, hand, sock and finger puppets. Rotary Quiz Runners Up

Congratulations to both of our teams for taking part in the Rotary Quiz last night. Our Team A were runners up! Well done to the team from Bothwell Primary who were the winners on the night.

P7 trip to Dynamic Earth and Parliament

Primary 7 had the opportunity to go to both Dynamic Earth and the Scottish Parliament. A lot of fun and information piled into one day! At Dynamic Earth, the children were taken on a journey to the rainforest. Here they learned all about the forest floor, right up to the emergent layer and the animals that lie within. P6 – Glasgow Science Centre

P6 and P7 have been enjoying social dancing, games and free-style dancing at their Christmas party.  The boys and girls had great fun choosing their dance partners for the Gay Gordans, Military Two-step and Canadian Barn Dance. P7 Maths Challenge Final @ UGS

Groups 1 and 7 had great fun this afternoon at the final of the Uddingston Grammar Maths Challenge. Both groups were put through their paces with a variety of different activities, such as; model building, countdown, Christmas quiz, maths relay and Christmas decoder, plus many more! P5 Winter Art

After a busy Christmas Lunch, Primary 5 were ready to have some fun.  Inspired by the size of last nights moon, we worked in teams to paint our own moons glowing bright in the night sky. You can see that we have been painting in shades of blue.
