Kilbowie

Hi everyone, That’s us arrived safe and sound at Kilbowie. The journey towards Oban was full of beautiful scenery and we even stopped off to enjoy the snow.  When we arrived at Kilbowie, we were shown to our dorms and got the chance to take a paddle in the icy sea. P5 Fresh Fruit!

Primary 5 set up practical science investigations on Monday.  Each group chose a different variable to see how this might influence the  growth of mould on fresh fruit. On Wednesday we looked closely at the progress so far and recorded in writing and drawings the changes we observed. Pupils in P7 and staff are very excited about next weeks trip to Kilbowie Outdoor Centre in Oban.  Hope everyone is  practicing making their bed and able to put the duvet cover on! Only four sleeps to go ! Can’t wait!

The Wizard of Oz

Preparations have begun for this year’s Christmas Show entitled ‘The Wizard of Oz’ Mrs Moran and Mrs Carroll have been hard at work holding auditions and making some very difficult decisions. Final cast announcements will be made shortly and whole school singing practices will begin next week.

Special Assembly

This Friday we will be hosting a special assembly for Mrs McGuire who sadly had to leave us at the end of last term. Mrs McGuire served as a teacher here for 26 years including 13 years as Deputy Head Teacher. The pupils and staff are looking forward to thanking her for all her hard work over the years. Primary 5 Go Crazy

Primary 5 pupils have been using their cognitive skills during P.E. lessons. In groups we invented our own crazy golf holes and put them to the test.
