Navigating around Kilbowie

This morning,  group 8  worked with their instructor Jamie on navigation skills. They were shown how to read a map and find various landmarks around the centre. If you look at our picture perhaps you can spot the winning pair! Afterwards the group did some team building and problem solving activities. Everyone enjoyed the session.

Skiing with groups 7&8

Primary 7 had a great time learning how to ski yesterday. The children were so proud of themselves, as they went from bambi, to seasoned pro on the red slope 🙂 lots of happy faces all round albeit a few bruises along the way.

Day 2 – Hill walking and climbing

Today group 6 had a great time hill walking, climbing and rolling down the hills 🙂 The scenery was breathtaking and the children really challenged themselves by climbing some tricky rocks. Even the boys and girls who were a little apprehensive, managed to surprise themselves and ended up having a ball!

P7 have been having a great first night at Kilbowie. We’ve been writing all about our adventures in our log books and taking part in a scavenger hunt, where we had to find objects beginning with letters in the alphabet! We can’t wait to find out what exciting activities tomorrow will bring!

Kilbowie

The journey towards Oban was full of beautiful scenery and we even stopped off to enjoy the snow.  When we arrived at Kilbowie, we were shown to our dorms and got the chance to take a paddle in the icy sea.
