Remembrance Day

Yesterday, the focus of our assembly was Remembrance Day during which the children learned about what it means to wear a poppy, how they are made and what the money that is raised is used for. They watched two short films provided by Poppy Scotland. Poppies will be available until tomorrow in school.

Parent Council Meeting

The next meeting of our Parent Council is tomorrow night, the 9th November at 7pm. All members of the Parent Forum welcome. Preparations are well under way for the Christmas Fayre which is on Thursday 30th November at 6pm. Donations are being taken for the book  stall and bottle tombola. Class Certificates

This week we had a good selection of Happy Hetty, Achieving Ava, Respectful Ryan,  Responsible Robbie, Including Ian and Safe Sam awards! Plus P4 were chosen as Class of the Week and will receive an extra playtime next week.

Primary 6, Young Leaders

So far we have had 3 weeks of training from Mr McLaughlin to help us teach games to the younger pupils in our school. Happy Halloween!

Dress Down Day

On Friday 13th October 2017 the children can leave their uniforms at home as we are having a dress down day.  All we ask is that the children could bring a chocolate donation with them to school for the Parent Council’s Christmas Fayre.  It could be a box of chocolates, a selection box or even a chocolate bar!  Donations will be used on the chocolate tombola stall. P5 Rainforest Dioramas

Here are some of the excellent dioramas that P5 made for their homework task. They have really enjoyed learning about rainforests and talked confidently about their dioramas to their cooperative learning group. Some have moving parts and one even has sound so that you feel like you are in a rainforest! Next stop in our changing planet is the polar regions, bbrrrr!
