Primary 1 have had great fun learning about our senses. We know that you hear with your ears and you taste with your tongue. We made musical instruments for our homework and enjoyed playing in the class band. We also had a fun morning food tasting to test our different food receptors. We tasted sweet, salty, sour and bitter foods. This was great fun. The sweeties were a great hit but the
Pupils in Primary 1 and 2 enjoyed visiting Almond Valley Heritage Park in Livingston on Tuesday. They saw lots of farm animals and even got to handle a lionhead rabbit, 2 guinea pigs and a pole cat called Shenanigans! We enjoyed going on our train ride and having a picnic lunch. Here are some photos of children in Primary 1, 2, 3 and 4 enjoying a STEM magic show today. The show engaged children in learning about science, technology, engineering and maths through some very clever magic tricks. Children may wish to try out some of their new tricks on adults at home, so beware!
Primary 1 had a busy day! Most of their learning was based around the story “The Very Hungry Caterpillar”. They are able to retell the story, order the days of the week, count how many things the caterpillar ate each day and describe the life cycle of a butterfly! They enjoyed making the fruits that the caterpillar ate from Lego and painting the caterpillar using their hand print. Thank you,
In Primary 1 we have been developing our striking and fielding skills. Today we used balloons in our PE lesson to further develop our skills and make striking and fielding a little easier. We were fielding by throwing our balloons towards a target. We were striking the balloons using our hands and bats. We had great fun and only a few balloons went pop!

We enjoyed the games, dancing, singing, treats and best of all SANTA surprised us with a visit! Everyone had a wonderful time, including myself, Mrs Maitland and Miss Simpson.
