Once again this year, we are celebrating the success of our children at our weekly assemblies. Every week, class teachers will choose one child to receive a certificate relating to our school values of respect, taking responsibility, staying safe, being inclusive, being happy and achievement. Please remember that if you have received a certificate, medal or trophy at an after school club, you can share this good news with us
Aitkenhead Primary School is bidding to bag a massive cash boost from the Tesco Bags of Help initiative. Tesco teamed up with Groundwork to launch its community funding scheme, which sees grants of £4,000, £2,000 and £1,000 raised from carrier bag sales in Tesco stores awarded to local community projects. Primary 4 had a fun first day back getting to know one another better. As of next week, P.E. days are a Monday and Thursday.
Here are some highlights from our End of Year Assembly which took place on Monday. Once again, two children from each class were chosen by their class teacher to receive the Sarah Warnock Award. New awards were also introduced this year based around the four capacities of Confident Individual, Effective Contributor, Responsible Citizen and Successful Learner. It was an emotional time for P7 as they entertained us with two songs
A fantastic time was had by all on Friday at our talent show! Two representatives from P1-6 took part after being voted for by their classmates during the class auditions. Well done to Sarah from P4 for winning, Zach from P2 for coming 2nd, and Lucy and Amy from P6 for coming 3rd! Thank you to our judges Mrs McGown, Mrs Kupsky and Mrs Maitland.

Congratulations to Cumbrae House on winning the Sports shield this year! There was only one point between them and second placed Bute! The winning team who are pictured came from Arran!
