March Open Morning

We had a very successful open morning today! The children in all of the classes enjoyed having their parents and grandparents learning with them, completing a wide variety of tasks from different curricular areas, including Literacy, Numeracy, IDL and H.W.B.

World Book Day 2019

We’re enjoying a great day celebrating World Book Day today. Lots of the children dressed as their favourite book character while others dressed down. Primary 6 have been reading to Primary 2 and other activities are taking place in classes throughout the school. The Pupil Council have organised a quiz and made book marks to sell. The money raised will go to Book Aid. Please bring all quiz sheets back

P4 Science Investigation

Over the last few weeks, Primary 4 have been learning about dissolving and are undertaking an investigation into what might affect how quickly a solid dissolves in water. Half of the class have been finding out about how temperature affects dissolving, and the other half have been investigating how the amount of the solid affects how quickly it is dissolved. Christmas Show 2018

What a busy week it’s been?! Three sell out audiences enjoyed our performance of “An Evening with the Elves”.  this week. Special thanks to Mrs Lyall for her contributions and musical expertise.

Christmas Fayre

Last night we held our annual Christmas Fayre which was organised by the Parent Council. The fantastic sum of £1600 was raised! Thank you for supporting our fayre, it was a brilliant night! Well done to Rebecca from P5 for taking so many good photos.

Parents Open Morning

Last week, we hosted parents and grandparents for our second open morning of the year. It was a very busy place and there were lots of different activities for the children to try in their classes. Some classes were learning new knowledge and skills in Literacy, some were learning in Numeracy, P7 were involved in inter-disciplinary learning  and P6 were demonstrating their artistic skills.

Class Certificates

Here are some more of our wonderful children receiving a certificate at our weekly assembly! This morning the children also enjoyed going out for a walk after assembly, which we were able to do because the jaggy weeds have been cut back along the path!

P4 Traffic Survey

Last week, Primary 4 conducted a traffic survey on Old Edinburgh Road as part of their learning in relation to Information Handling for Maths. The road doesn’t look that busy in these photos but there were actually lots of different colours of cars to count, even Flynn’s mum’s! We now know that when we are doing a survey we need to concentrate really well so that our results are accurate.
