St. Bernadette’s Primary School
April 2024

Dear Parents/Guardians,

It was lovely to see all our children return to school on Monday for the Summer Term looking so smart in their uniforms. I would also like to remind you of our guidance for PE kit – blue T Shirt and Dark shorts/leggings.

This term is always a busy term with lots to look forward to. On Thursday a group of children are attending Glasgow University to represent us as part of the Diocesan Choir. This will be a great opportunity for the children involved. Throughout the term there will be a range of extra-curricular events and activities for all stages.

On 14th and 15th May we will be visited by NLC Educational and Families Managers to support us with our Self-Evaluation. This two day visit is organised in a similar way to an HMIE Inspection. The visit will include classroom observations, meetings with HT, Teaching and Support Staff, Pupils and Parents. We are looking forward to sharing all the good work of the school and would appreciate your support for the visit. If you would like to be involved in a Parent discussion group on Tuesday 13th May at 2pm please complete and return the tear off slip below. Your views and opinions are of great value to us in our continuous journey of school improvement.

Please note the dates and details below of all the other activities we have planned for the coming term. These will all be detailed further on the School App for parents, please ensure you download the app and take note of the messages to keep up to date. We also regularly share photos and news on X (Twitter) to keep you updated on all the fun and learning occurring in St Bernadette’s.

Please take a note of all the important dates below:

Further details for events and activities will be issued in due course.

In the meantime, I look forward to seeing and meeting many of you over the coming term and, as always, please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns.

Yours sincerely,

Mrs Christine Boyle
