Kilbowie Tuesday 20th August

I’m glad to report another great day at Kilbowie!  Everyone slept well last night, thanks to all the fresh air and running around in the grounds whilst orienteering after dinner.  Well done to Jonathon’s team who won the challenge!  Today we were all involved in more great fun activities.  I enjoyed the safari this morning with Anna, Caitlin, Holly, Allanah, Sara, Nathan, Jonathon, Kristopher, Mark, Ayman and Reece.  Derek’s knowledge and jokes impressed everyone!  Lucy B went along with Adam’s group coasteering and enjoyed the climbing, scrambling and jumping in with Alastair, Kyle and Andrew.  Patrick, Owen, Daniel and Conor did really well at the canoeing and once again enjoyed jumping into the water just to make sure they were really wet!  Lucy, Stephen, Jack B and Jack H learned how to successfully tackle rock climbing using safety equipment.  Some children went gorge walking but were disappointed not to find the hot spa at the top which Mr O’Raw had told them about.  As promised though, Mr O’Raw tried out the water temperature himself today when his canoe accidentally capsized!!!  Unfortunately no-one had the camera ready to capture the moment.  The weather has stayed good with only some rain this evening.  However, it won’t stop us getting out and about for a scavenger hunt around the grounds before supper.  Tomorrow we are looking forward to skiing, mountain biking and sailing.

It doesn't look that cold!!

Showing how it should be done!!
