Kilbowie time !
Some of our P7 children have joined their peers at Rochsolloch and Tollbrae PS for a fun filled week at Kilbowie. Activities have included canoeing, walking, rock climbing, nightline and gorge walking. What an amazing experience !
P5/6 Football Festival
Our footballers joined other teams in the Airdrie cluster to play 7 a side football. The children played well and were praised for their behaviour, positive attitude and good sportsmanship.
P3/4 Football
Primary 3 & 4 have been enjoying developing their football skills during weekly  sessions organised by Active Schools.
Parkour
Term 1 after school clubs have begun with popular Parkour sessions. P1-3’s club is on Wednesday and P4-7’s sessions are on a Thursday from 3-4pm.
I am discovering ways that I can link actions and skills to create movement patterns and sequences. This has motivated me to practise and improve my skills to develop control and flow. HWB 1-21a

P3/4 Football training
P3/4 have started getting ready for a block of football training sponsored by Tesco bank. During September and October pupils will be enjoying sessions from a trained coach every Friday. The lessons will end with a tournament involving other local schools.

Primary Games
Primary 4 & 5 took part in the annual Primary Games at Ravenscraig Sports Centre. They took part in various sporting events including golf and football.
Sports Day Fun
P4-7 Parkour After School Club
The children enjoyed learning how to move freely combining their running, balancing, jumping & climbing  skills.
New Playground Toys
The children had asked for comfy cushions for the chill out shed and new playground toys  and the CHUMS (Children Helping to Maintain Safety) were delighted to help organise these and show the children how to use the new equipment.
