Smoothie making
P3/4 had great fun preparing and drinking some delicious fruit smoothies as part of our Eco/Health week activities.
Picasso Portraits
Inspired by the work of Pablo Picasso, 3/4 created their own abstract portraits using oil pastels in hot and cold colours.

Visit to New Stevenston Mosque
P3/4 visited a local mosque to find out more about Islam and this special place of worship.
I am discovering how followers of world religions demonstrate their beliefs through prayer/meditation, worship and special ceremonies.I am developing respect for the practices and traditions of others.

P3/4 Symmetry Investigation
I have explored symmetry in my own and the wider environment and can create and recognise symmetrical pictures, patterns and shapes. Â MTH 1-19a

Visit to Faskine Farm
P1-4 visited a local farm to visit the chicks that they had hatched in school a few months ago. The have now grown into hens and are producing eggs of their own.  We enjoyed the Autumn walk and the chance to see the cattle. Our highlight of the visit was the opportunity  to sit in the big red tractor !
I can explore examples of food chains and show an appreciation of how animals and plants depend on each other for food.

Primary 3 & 4 have been enjoying developing their football skills during weekly  sessions organised by Active Schools.
Funtime Maths Roadshow
We ended our numeracy & maths week on a high when primary 3 – 7 enjoyed a visit from Stem Ambassadors, Mr & Mrs Lyden. They had great fun doing a wide variety of maths puzzles.

Primary Games
Primary 4 & 5 took part in the annual Primary Games at Ravenscraig Sports Centre. They took part in various sporting events including golf and football.
