To celebrate the forthcoming Commonwealth Games, we designed t-shirts and trainers. Many of our designs features the Commonwealth Games logo and the Glasgow mascot, Clyde. Take a look !
Congratulations to the winner of the NLC catering competition !
Primary 6 returned yesterday evening after their exciting adventure in the capital. There visit was action packed, taking in two West End shows and lots of sight seeing. Some of the highlights include the  opportunity to view the city  from the famous London Eye and our  visit to Buckingham palace. We loved the shows, ‘Wicked’ and  the ‘Lion King’ and the staff were very impressed with the children’s  well mannered, sensible  attitude.

Early on Wednesday morning Primary 6 pupils from the Calderbank and Tollbrae primary school’s partnership will be embarking on the annual trip to London. They will be taking in two West End shows and doing lots of sight seeing. Photos of this exciting adventure will be posted soon !
Glow is a Scottish schools’ intranet which is a safe and secure learning environment that your child can access at school and at home. Over the next few weeks all children will be reminded of their ‘Glow’ login and  password and parents will receive a leaflet explaining how ‘Glow’ works and the opportunities for learning it holds.

We are delighted to announce that our non-uniform day raised £56 for UNICEF. A big thank you to all our pupils and families for your generosity and support !
We now have 8 baby chicks which are doing well and getting stronger by the day! The children are enjoying watching them grow and are learning how to care for them.
We were delighted to come into school this morning to discover we had three new chicks in our hatchery. During the school day the children of P1/2 were able to witness the hatching of another chick taking our total to 4 ! I wonder how many we will have by tomorrow ?
Primary 1/2 are mother hens for the next fortnight ! As part of our Science focus we have received 10 eggs to care for from Living Eggs – Scotland. We will be watching their progress and caring for the new arrivals. Mrs Donnelly has set up a camera day and night so that we don’t miss the big moment when they hatch ! Watch out for our film appearing  soon on the blog.
