Calderbank’s P7 pupils arrived safely at Kilbowie Outdoor Centre and have wasted no time, jumping straight into the action! As well as several activities since arriving, pupils have met their instructors for the week and discussed the types of activities they are going to tackle. We will make attempts to update the blog each night with photographs and messages home – feel free to comment on our posts and we will try to catch up with our mail before we sleep. Bye for now!

Friends and family joined us to celebrate our many achievements and successes, wishing our Primary 7 leavers a fond farewell as they move on to High School. We also said thank you and good luck to Mrs Baigrie who is retiring this Summer and goodbye to Mrs Donnelly and Miss Smith who will be leaving Calderbank and taking up a post in a new school! We wish them all the best and they will be sadly missed!

In addition to this, we also said congratulations to Mrs McGregor who will be taking up Mrs Donnelly’s post as Principal Teacher of Calderbank and also to Miss Ross who will be staying at Calderbank for another year!

On Monday the whole school had the pleasure of visiting our partnership school, Tollbrae to watch the Queen’s Baton Relay. The children were able to soak up the atmosphere of the crowd, wave their flags and cheer as the Baton and Clyde the mascot passed! A true, once in a lifetime experience!
