The boys and girls with their bears today! We were supporting Mrs Lyttle as our hero for shaving off her hair in aid of Children in Need.

During their Polar Explorers topic, Primary 1/2/3/4 have been researching the polar animals that live in the Arctic and Antarctic. Many of the children kept asking how these animals manage to stay warm in such freezing conditions, so today we conducted an experiment to see how ‘blubber’ helps keep the animals warm.

It was a messy job, but someone’s got to do it!

Last week, Primaries 1-4 were given a technology challenge as part of their homework – to create an Arctic / Antarctic scene using a cardboard box! Every child participated in the task and put in so much effort! Here are some pictures of their finished projects!

Our Fantastic Five Reward at the end of Term 1 was a bungee run from Micro Fitness. Those children who had consistently shown good behaviour  in five out of seven weeks thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

Primaries 1 – 4 have started their new Social Studies: People, Place and Environment topic – Polar Explorers! Within this theme, the children will be investigating the Arctic and Antarctic. Here are a few photos of their journey so far!
