P5/6/7 visited the wind farm as part of their investigation of renewable energy.
By considering examples where energy is conserved, I can identify the energy source, how it is transferred and ways of reducing wasted energy. SCN 2-04a
Through exploring non- renewable energy sources, I can describe how they are used in Scotland today and express an informed view on the implications for their future use. SCN 2-04b
I loved Whitelee wind farm. I learned more about wildlife and wind turbines.
I had a great time.
I had a great time at Whitelee wind farm.I learned that the blades on the wind turbines weigh 12 tonnes and they are held on with 50 bolts.I learned about wildlife and loads more too.
The kids looked as if they had a great time at Whitelee wind farm.
The wind farm pictures are looking good on the blog. It reminded me of the fun we had when we were there.
It was a great trip and we learned a lot.
