Warm up
Complete this PowerPoint, reminding you about imperative verbs. These are very important in instruction writing.
Now choose one of these activities based on imperative verbs.
Main Activity
You are now going to look at the success criteria. This will show you the features of instruction writing. Please look carefully at the success criteria and example set of instructions to help you write your own instructions. These can be for anything you like. Remember instructions are written for someone who wants to know how to do something e.g. a recipe, how to play a game, how to build or make something etc. Some examples could be: how to complete your obstacle course, how to build a Lego model, how to make a cake etc.
