Work at Home (wk beg. 25.05.2020)

Here are some more activities for you to work on this week. Remember just to do what you can and if you need any help or clarification with anything please feel free to email us or post on Teams. We will have another virtual Team Talk on Wednesday at 1:30pm – 2:00pm and we will have our usual spell-check and chat on Friday at 11am.  As always, please upload any photos to Teams or email them to us so we can put them on to the blog.

Literacy

Spelling – Complete 2 tasks this week as it is a short week. (Look up the meaning; Use it in a sentence; Active spelling task) Nessy Group – remember to do at least 10 minutes on Nessy and 10 minutes on IDL every day. Reading – Try to do a little bit of reading on Bugclub every day. Please ensure that you are answering the Bug questions properly – We can see your answers and will provide feedback. Design a Leaflet – Create an information leaflet on the Coronavirus (Covid-19). You could include things like- interesting facts, symptoms to look for, how to protect from it, treatment, etc. The features of a leaflet are included below to help you and there is also a template if you wish to use it.

We were really impressed with the effort put in to the algebra. It is tricky and you did very well. This week we thought you could try something completely different with a Pizza Hut Challenge! Use the menu provided below to help you answer the questions. Choose which one you would like to challenge yourself with. (mild, spicy, or hot).

SumDog

Challenge – 30 mins on SumDog each day. We have set a challenge for you all. This is a recap of already learned skills.

Assessment – We have set an assessment for Thursday/Friday. Please try to complete it when you can.

Times Table Challenge – Below, is a copy of the times table challenge. Why not try and write the answers on a piece of paper. Remember you only have 15 minutes 🙂

Beat The Teacher – Why not play a few rounds of beat the teacher (parent). Write the stations of the times tables and remember you only have a minute to write them down. Let’s see who can beat their parents.

HWB

PE – Try your best to complete at least 2 PE sessions with either: Joe Wicks on Youtube (9am each morning) or Cosmic Kids Yoga or Jump Start Jonny at 9am. (Links included on Handy Links tab).

Fit 15 – Also try to fit in some fit 15. You could try Just Dance, outdoor play or anything else you can think of to keep fit.

Paths Kid this week is Alistair. Please leave a comment on the Paths Kid channel on Teams. If you cannot access Teams for any reason feel free to leave your comment on the blog or email it to us.

Growth Mindset – Have a look at the PowerPoint below and complete the task at the end to make your own positive quote. Let’s see how many we can get to cheer us all up!
