Work at Home 20/04/2020
Welcome back!
We have uploaded a range of different activities this week. Please feel free to complete these tasks in whichever order you wish and remember to do what you can – we do not expect you to complete every single task. If you need any help or clarification on anything please feel free to email us or post on Teams. Let’s try to have a virtual Team Talk every Wednesday at 1:30pm – 2:00pm. This will be a chance for us to video conference and have a chat as a class. The more the merrier! As always, please upload any photos to Teams or email them to us so we can put them on to the blog.

Imaginative Story
You will find below, a set of planning and assessment sheets. Please use what you would normally use in class. The picture below is what we would like you to write about. Remember to use your senses to help you describe your setting. Use the baseline criteria to help you assess your work and we are also happy to complete a teacher assessment. If you are unsure of what any of the criteria means please ask.

Famous mathematicians (1)
Fact cards maths
Once you have selected your mathematician, complete some research on them and their relevance to mathematics.
You could consider:
• where they were born;
• events of their childhood;
• their family;
• what made them become interested in mathematics;
• how did they contribute to mathematics;
• their social life or home life;
• their personality;
• how their developments in mathematics affected the world.
You could create a poster, a PowerPoint or select any other way to record your information. Post it in Teams or email it to us and also try to present your findings to a member of your family.
