Holiday School Meals

Holiday school meals

Latest Information Here

Pupils with assessed eligibility for free school meals will continue to be supported over the holidays. Children and young people can catch up with their friends, enjoy a nutritious Gold Standard lunch and take part in some activities as the free holiday school meals programme returns, from Easter 2022.

The programme will be run from community venues to ensure we reach into the heart of our communities. There’s no need to register – children and young people can simply turn up on the day at any of the participating community venues.

The programme is available to both primary and secondary pupils who are eligible for free school meals on the basis of low income. This doesn’t cover universal free entitlement for P1 to P5 children funded by the Scottish Government to provide free meals during term time. If you believe you qualify for means-tested free school meals, you can apply for the 2021/22 grant.

The programme is running from 11.30am with lunch served around 12pm in the following community venues:

  • Bridgend Community Centre, Kilbirnie
  • Rosearden Hall, Dalry
  • Beith Trust, Beith
  • Fullarton Community Hub, Irvine
  • Springside Community Centre, Springside
  • Redburn Community Centre, Irvine
  • Towerlands Community Centre, Irvine
  • Vineburgh Community Centre, Irvine
  • Woodwynd Community Centre, Kilwinning
  • Nethermains Community Centre, Kilwinning
  • West Kilbride Community Centre, West Kilbride
  • Whitlees Community Centre, Ardrossan
  • Hayocks Community Centre, Stevenston
