Welcome

Mental health…everyone has it and it is just as important as our physical health. In fact, without good mental health we might not have the energy we need to get a job done or apply ourselves to everyday life. Which is why it is so crucial to acknowledge how precious our mental health really is!

As members of North Ayrshire’s community,  we all have an important role in ensuring we are giving young people an opportunity to reach their full potential, and thrive. Whether you are a parent, carer or someone who has a duty of care to children and young people – such as a teacher or youth worker – you must promote resilience in our young people, and support them in looking after themselves physically, mentally, and emotionally.

However…it is important to note that it is impossible to pour from an empty cup. In order to best support our children and young people, whom we deeply care for, we must ensure that we ourselves, work on our own mental health.

The purpose of this Blog is to provide information and share resources and supports available in our community. You will find information on how to support yourself, as well as your child/young person. This includes mental, emotional, physical, and sexual health. We have also compiled information regarding more practical matters and finances.
