Student Awards

The Students Award Agency for Scotland (SAAS) provides support for students who live or study in Scotland through a Student Loan Scheme.

Support from SAAS may be available if you’re studying for a higher education course ie a Higher National Diploma or a degree. The award amount you receive depends on:

• what course you’re studying
• where you live while studying
• your family’s income

If you have a disability or learning difficulty you can claim Disabled Student Allowance for certain extra expenses. Visit the SAAS website for more information and applications.
