Primary A Maths

This week we have been exploring shape and colour using our senses. We discovered that lots of circles, squares, rectangles and triangles are in and around our daily life in school. Here are a few pictures to enjoy of our outdoor sensory play and beyond #mathsweek #headteacherchallenge #primaryA #jamesmac

Welcome to Primary B!

Welcome to Primary B’s first Glow blog! This week in class we have been exploring maths outside by using colour to create an art backdrop to display our work. We had great fun throwing paint soaked tea bags at the wall and really enjoyed choosing our colours!

Well I have only been in James Mac for 2 days but already I am seeing fantastic learning that needs to be recognised with a Head Teacher’s Award.

Well done to HS in Primary A for walking and exploring with increased independence without his walker 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

Well done too to LT for super listening and talking during an art activity in Secondary B 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

Welcome Back

A very warm welcome back to our whole school community, we hope you have enjoyed the long summer holidays. A special welcome to our 2 new primary 1 pupils who looked very handsome in their school uniform. We also welcome a number of new staff to our team.

Our learners have been busy orienting themselves to their new classes and familiarising themselves with new members of the staff team.

As well as the children being busy the staff and were busy too during the in-service day receiving CPR training, medical updates, child protection and health and safety updates.

We know you are inundated with paperwork at the start of the new school session however please can you return your consent forms to the school office as soon as possible. It’s extremely important that we have on file the most up-to-date information.
