I hope you are all well and you had a lovely long weekend!
Today is Monday and it is the start of our week. When we were in class, Skye boys and girl loved playing with water in the big tuff tray! You were waiting to see what exciting was there for you to play with. This week I thought it would be a great idea to explore water with everyday things that you probably have at home.
Today our focus will be on pouring water from one container to another.
What you need is various sized containers or bowls, buckets, water bottles, pots and… of course water! Fill them up with water and use your equipment to empty and fill them up again. You can use anything you have at home to pour water, here are some ideas:
Today is a special day for one of our friends in Skye class, George. It is his birthday! π Skye class team recorded a video signing HAPPY BIRTHDAY to our friend!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY GEORGE! π
We usually celebrate in class with cake, music, playing and having lot of fun! Today we can’t be all together to celebrate so I have a special job for you. Can you make a card or record a message saying Happy Birthday to George? I am sure he would love it!
Today is another lovely day and I hope you will have some fun in the sunshine! You can take your toys and play outside! I am sure that you all love playing and have all your favourite toys with you.
When it’s to time to finish an activity, do you remember what we do in class? We TIDY UP! All the boys and girl in Skye class when play time is finished, you take your toys and you put them back to the box with some support if needed. So special job for today (and that is something we can do every day) is to “tidy up my toys”.
I hope you all had a good long weekend! The weather has been lovely and I hope the sun will stay for the rest of the week π
Our boys and girl in Skye class have been doing very good work with our weekly special jobs in class.Β Every week each of you had a special job: to wash the dishes after snack or Home Economics, to be the snack helper, to clean the table after snack, to collect the jackets before going out to play and to help with recycling. Good work everyone!
So what about today? Can you help with the dishes? When you finish your snack or lunch, you can wash and dry the dishes. And remember you have been doing great with special jobs in class, so you can be super star helpers at home too π
Some weeks ago Mrs. Clarke has blogged about Skye class Household jobs and there is a step by step learning intention “doing the dishes”. Here is the link, if you want:
Well done to all of you who took part in the colour challenge! You did very good work looking for different colours and counting how many you found. Good work Mrs. Inglis for joining in! π
Today for Friday there is no challenge, however Skye class has a surprise for you! We decided to sing one of your favourite songs π
