Our school are committed to working in an eco-friendly way which helps reduce our impact on the planet and combats climate change. Throughout our school we have various recycling opportunities for materials such as paper and printer cartridges. We also hold, rag bag collection events through the year in order to reduce the amount of clothes and textiles ending up in landfill sites. In addition to this we monitor the food waste in our dining hall very closely to encourage children not to waste food and educate them on the impact this has on climate change.
Our eco committee are promoting three main topics of Litter, Sustaining Our World, and Health and Wellbeing all of which can be closely linked to climate change. We are holding a competition throughout the school to educate and inform each other about our research in to these topics.
We have received our 10th eco flag.
