Moray Parents/Guardians and Young People Apprenticeship Event

As part of Scottish Apprenticeship Week 2021, DYW (Developing the Young Workforce) Moray and partners have joined forces once again to organise a FREE virtual event on 4th March 2021, 4:30pm – 6:00pm.

This event is suitable for any parents/guardians/carers/educators and young people in secondary school or who have left and would like to know more about apprenticeships in Moray.

Apprenticeships have changed significantly over the years and the apprenticeship family has also grown. Did you know you can do an apprenticeship in your senior phase of secondary school with a local employer and Moray College UHI? Did you know you can now study a degree level apprenticeship with a university, gaining full time employment and a wage? Did you know there are now over 100 different types of apprenticeships on offer?

Access to Construction

  • Open to 16-24 years olds who require additional support to progress into learning, training or work
  • Starts on 19 January with a drop-in event on 12 January at the  Moray Pathways @ Inkwell Hub

The 4 week part-time programme involves:

  • Industry visits to local construction companies ( virtual and face to face)
  • Health and Safety Awareness
  • CSCS Card
  • Group Work and 1:1 keyworker support
