P7 – S1

It is our pleasure to welcome you soon to be 1st years to our school! We know that you’ll probably be a bit nervous about coming up to high school, you probably have a few worries but the S6 students will always be on hand to help you with anything that you need. The guidance staff are also there to help with any problems that you might have, no matter how big or how small. As will the buddies who will be assigned to you as soon as you get to school so as long as you don’t ask for directions off of a second year then you have absolutely nothing to worry about.

Just like our pupils, the teachers here at Notre Dame are so hardworking and dedicated to making sure every pupil can achieve the amazing exam results that we achieve every year. When it comes to your turn to sit these exams in a few years’ time our teachers will make sure that you achieve your full potential as long as you are willing to work hard from the very day that you start here at Notre Dame.

Everything at our school isn’t all about hard work all day every day. We have loads of extra-curricular activities on offer here. You can be a part of the school choir, the football team, the fair trade group and so much more. These groups give you a chance to meet new friends and learn so many new skills. Every year we put on two shows, a pantomime and musical. Our drama productions are famous throughout Inverclyde and many people believe that taking part in either of these productions are some of their favourite memories at Notre Dame. We really encourage you to consider being a part of any of these activities to make sure that you make the most of every day that you have here at Notre Dame.

Just to finish off, we’d like to wish you good luck. Work hard but enjoy your time here and we’re sure that you will do brilliantly in everything that you do here at Notre Dame High School!
