Health and Wellbeing /Personal and Social Development

Health and Wellbeing Education is an important part of the work of King’s Oak Primary School. It is concerned with all aspects of mental, emotional, social and physical wellbeing now and in the future.

Health and Wellbeing is subdivided into the following areas which are taught throughout all classes:

➢ Mental, emotional, social and physical wellbeing
➢ Planning for choices and changes
➢ Physical education, physical activity and sport
➢ Food and Health

 

 

Article 28 – Every child has the right to an education.

Article 29 – Education must develop every child’s personality, talents and abilities to the full. It must encourage the child’s respect for human rights, as well as respect for their parents, their own and other cultures, and the environment.

Article 31 – Every child has the right to relax, play and take part in a wide range of cultural and artistic activities.
