First Week!

Welcome back P3Fs! We had a very busy first week back. It was lovely to see everyone again and to hear all about their wonderful summer holidays.  This week we talked a lot about moving up from P2 to P3 and becoming more responsible, like helping the new P1s. We enjoyed using photos of ourselves to make P3 superheros and talking about what makes us super. Also, we made some beautiful butterflies with adjectives that describe us!

This term we will be looking at ‘Under the Sea’. This will involve learning about different types of animals and food chains, sources of energy, conservation and water experiments. Here are some of our questions:

-Why do fish swim in shoals? (Pupil)

– How big is the biggest ocean? (Pupil)

– What are coral reefs and where are they? (Pupil)

– Why do whales eat baby seals? (Pupil)

– How many different types of fish are there in the world? (Pupil)

– What does ‘dissolving’ mean and which solids will dissolve in water? (Teacher)

– What does ‘conservation’ mean and how do my actions impact on the environment? (Teacher)

If anyone thinks they could help us to learn more about our topic, then please feel free to contact the school.

Some useful information:

– We have PE sessions on Mondays and Fridays

– All homework will be given out on a Monday (remember to check your new homework diaries!) and to be handed in on Thursday.

– Currently, Miss Shimmield teaches Monday and Tuesday, and Mrs Fraser teaches Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

We look forward to a year full of hard-work, trying our best, making friends, learning new things and having fun!
