Lochardil Tea Towel!

The Parent Council have prepared a tea towel for Lochardil Primary School. The school opened for it’s first session in August 1964. So, after all the hard work from the children, teachers and staff at the school we are delighted to offer for sale two different Lochardil Primary School Tea Towels. One towel is for P1 – P3 and the second is for P4 – P7.

Whilst the towels will be available to buy later in the year, you can pre-order your towels now to ensure that you are able to get one (or 2 or 3!) which will make great Christmas presents.

Order forms will be available from the school from Monday 30th September.

Please follow the links to view the towels and access the order form.

Coffee Afternoon Success!

macmillan coffee morning

Everyone in P6/7 just want to say a massive thank you to all that contributed to our Coffee Afternoon to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support. We were overwhelmed by the number of cakes brought in by pupils and parents – so thank you all very much. We now have to count all the money we raised which will go towards helping people who are fighting cancer.

We made a whopping £822!! It’s fantastic, so well done!

Here are some pictures from the afternoon . . . thank you again,

From all the pupils in P6/7, Mrs Macleod, Mrs Prentice and Miss Shaw.

Macmillan Coffee Afternoon – Tomorrow

2. Attend the Coffee Afternoon – Friday 27th September – 1.45pm – 2.45pm
3. Allow your child to purchase a cake by providing them with a donation of £1

Thank you for your support with the event!

Storywriting

Tomorrow (Thursday) is storywriting day. We are so proud when we read out our stories to the class and receive star writer badges.

This week we are discussing the importance of rules and why we need to have them in school and in our class. We are planning to draw up a set of rules for P1/2. I only hope we can keep to them!!!

A Reminder

Well done P1/2 you worked hard this week.

Remember to deliver your Coffee Morning invitations and remind mums that we need baking for Friday. Keep some of your pocket money to buy some cakes.

Have a fun weekend. See you on Monday.

Pupil Of The Month

Well done Libby for being voted P1/2 Pupil Of  The Month. We are so proud of you!

Thanks to Susanne from Headway, the brain injury association, who came to talk to us on Wednesday about the importance of wearing helmets when riding our bikes.

Thanks to all the parents/carers who managed along to our “Meet The Teacher” afternoon yesterday. It was a great opportunity to  have a look around our class and a quick chat.

Please note tennis is on again  next Thursday and Primary 1 are being coached too.

Finally looking forward to a fun filled fete tomorrow!

Class Representatives

This session our class representatives are as follows:

JRSO  Kaitlin and Aiden

ECO     Shaw and Robbie

Pupil Council   James and Megan

Rising Stars    Chelsie and Sean

The children attend group meetings once a month and report back to the rest of the class. Good luck to them in their new roles!

Please note – P2 are to have tennis coaching on a Thursday for the next few weeks. They will require their gym kit on these days.

Thank You

Congratulations to this week’s star pupils, Kirsty and Lauren, who have listened well, been hard working and helpful in class. Also well done to Abi, Aiden, Emily and Hayley, this week’s star writers. All the stories were fab and it was a hard decision!

Looking forward to next week: on Wednesday we have a visitor to the class, Susanne, talking about the importance of wearing helmets when cycling. Also we are interviewing Mrs. Caddell about her job as head teacher. A busy week ahead!
