- Use discussion, reflection and action to encourage a greater number of learners from diverse backgrounds into STEM pathways and jobs.
- Connections with children’s rights, sustainable development goals and the STEM nation award are also highlighted.
How to use the resource:
- Each section contains information and an opportunity to pause and reflect. The sections are hyperlinked to allow ease of navigation.
- The sections are not arranged in any particular order, but we recommend you start with context and practitioner role.

Who created this resource?
- This resource was created and informed by conversations between Education Scotland, Skills Development Scotland and two local authorities in the Forth Valley and West Lothian Region – Falkirk and Clackmannanshire.
- It is research and evidence informed.
