Why I want to be a Teacher

I have always been very grateful that I’ve had a definite path I’ve wanted to follow; I’ve never been confused about what I wanted to do for my job. I had a pretty good experience through primary and secondary school with teachers. They inspired me with how caring and supportive they were, which made me want to do the same thing for others as they did for me. I volunteered in a local primary school in my fifth and sixth year at high school and I had a great experience. I was able to see exactly what it was like in a primary classroom setting and see what lessons children engaged with most. It was amazing watching children achieve things and develop their learning throughout the year. As a teacher, you are their support and you are the one who is helping them achieve and succeed, which will be extremely rewarding.
