Please note the request from SPLN member Rob Henthorn, PL Co-ordinator at the EIS:
The EIS is seeking to promote its range of professional learning opportunities to a wider audience of teachers and lecturers across all sectors. To achieve this, the Institute would like to make contact with local authority leads for CLPL to discuss the possibility of promoting EIS courses via local platforms and mailing lists.
Many EIS courses and events are available to non-members, and most are delivered free to all participants. All of the Institute’s professional learning opportunities are shaped directly by teaching professionals, with a focus on practical approaches for teachers to disseminate to colleagues and implement in their classroom, school or college. Topics of recent EIS courses have included Learning for Sustainability, addressing sexual harassment in schools, supporting young people’s mental health needs, and teachers’ health and wellbeing.
If you are responsible for teachers’ CLPL in your local authority, please contact EIS Professional Learning Co-ordinator Rob Henthorn at email@example.com
