Wellshot Primary have been participating in the Climate Challenge and are encouraging the pupils to cycle to school.
Veloschools Project is designed to teach children how to cycle safely. It aims to create a lasting and sustainable change in the way in which people travel to reduce carbon footprints in the community by encouraging cycling.
The First Minister, Nicola Sturgeon even visited the school to celebrate our achievements with the support of Bikeability. Everyone enjoyed a healthly breakfast while talking about the benefits of cycling, scooting and walking to school. We also had a bike clinic to make sure that our bikes were safe and the children learned how to look after their bikes.
