At Wellshot we are dedicated to developing pupil voice and leadership roles across our school.
-
- We have a wonderful group of pupils that help to lead our Language Communication Friendly Establishment. These pupils ensure that our classrooms have a LCFE noticeboard that is updated fortnightly, that our wall displays are attractive and accessible to pupils and that certain aspects of our classrooms are consistent (such as our door displays, our visual timetables and that resources are labelled and accessible).
- Our Junior Road Safety Officers play an important role in ensuring that children are knowledgeable in the dangers of the road from being a pedestrian to riding a bike or travelling in a car. They engage the other children during assemblies and organise competitions throughout the year which have the past have proved to be popular and successful.
- Our Pupil Voice captains ensure that the voices of our pupils are heard. They report to pupils during assembly and represent the school at City Chambers.
- We also have a group of Language Ambassadors at Wellshot. We are so proud of the different languages that we all speak and work together to support one another, especially when a new pupil joins our school. We speak a very diverse range of languages at Wellshot such as, Igbo, Tamil, Mandarin, Slovakian, Spanish, Urdu and Russian. You will find a wonderful welcome wall display at our front entrance with lots of messages from our pupils in different languages.
