Helping your child at home

Home Learning can be different as children progress through the school but there is usually a literacy and maths activity for children to complete. Some pupils will take home reading books. Please ensure that your child is encouraged to read books to develop fluency, vocabulary and with the generation of ideas. If homework is a problem, please speak to the class teacher.

We all want the best for our children and by engaging with them through reading and playing games can help to grow their confidence. You can check out some games below. Please also see the ‘Fun and Games’ section of the website for more information.

Please help your child to be able to dress themselves, including zipping their coat, changing shoes and doing their buttons. Children should also practice opening their snacks and water bottles to help them to become more independent. We have water fountains that children can use to fill their water bottles.
