BEES!!!!!
Today we went outside to plant some wildflowers to get a start on our bee-friendly garden, seeing as we know what seeds need now.
After we planted the seeds we had to water them:
When it is really sunny, we will have to water them again. (Skyla)
We decided to look at the fairy garden while we were out but then we saw some bees!
They were flying on the grass around some dandelions. We read in a book that they like dandelions so we did not stand on them. We caught one in a jug for a moment to look at. He started flying.
We could see:
- his wings
- his stripes
- his legs moving while he was flying
- fluffy hair.
We could hear:
- BUZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ (everyone) while he was flying!
We realised he was scared. (Iyla) So we let him out of the jug. (Cleo) We tipped the jug so that he got safely away from us. (Skyla)
P.S. We did this very safely where there was lots of space. DO NOT DO THIS AT HOME, please!
We also saw bees resting on the leaves of the bush:
