Personalisation and Choice for S2 moving into S3 (2026)

Preliminary Options Survey 

On Tuesday 09.12.24 we will introduce the options process for pupils moving to S3, summer 2026.

In Hillhead High School, we allow pupils some degree of personalisation and choice for, what is, the final year in the Broad General Education (BGE). While pupils must continue to learn across all curricular areas, they are able to make a set of subject choices that align best with their interests and future career aspirations.

Key dates:

• Tuesday 9th December – Special Assembly for S2 during period 1
• Tuesday 9th December – letter issued to all S2 pupils for attention of parent/carer
• Tuesday 9th December (after school) – Initial Options Survey Opens
• Friday 19th December – Initial Options Survey Closes
• Tuesday 7th January – Final Options Assembly
• Tuesday 7th January – S2 into S3 Final Options Form opens
• Wednesday 14th January – Online Parents/ Family Information Session
• Tuesday 27th January –  S2 into S3 Final Options Form closes (at midnight)
