Film Literacy & Foreign Films

When teaching aspects of film literacy, use a variety of media to engage your learners.  This IDL topic planner focuses on the aspects of film literacy using a short film set in India.  Although there is no dialogue, learners will appreciate seeing a different setting and greater sense of diversity in their lessons.  Even if you use a foreign film with dialogue, all aspects of film literacy such as camera angles, sound, setting, characterisation, can all be taught in the same way.
