World War II & The British Indian Army

This topic planner allows you to incorporate a study of the contribution of the British Indian Army to the World War II effort.
Using the resource pack from https://www.colourfulheritage.com/projects/schools/ your pupils will learn about the Force K6 division, who participated in the war up to and including the battle of Dunkirk.  Survival saw many of the soldiers being stationed in Scotland, whose stories have been largely forgotten.

Encourage your learners to discuss the importance of their contribution and why so little is known about them.
