This lesson encourages an understanding of the origins of human rights as set out by Cyrus the Great of Persia almost 2600 years ago.  The Cyrus Cylinder is the first set known list of human rights as he presided over one of the most influential empires in history.

This lesson is useful when developing class or whole school charters or when learning about the UNCRC.
