Our children have opportunities to explore print and letters and sounds they see in the world around them. This can be through sharing stories with others or exploring books independently.

Our pupils learn to recognise signs and logos that have meaning for them, e.g. their favourite brand of biscuit / shops they visit, and we help them to build on these experiences through visits to the local community and trying new foods.
